High BP in African Americans:
The Clinical Research Program is seeking African American individuals 18 years of age and older who have high blood pressure to participate in a four month research study of an experimental high blood pressure medication. Participants will receive blood draws, EKGs, study medication, and physical exams at no cost. Type 2 Diabetes:
The Clinical Research Program is seeking individuals 65 years of age and older who have Type 2 diabetes to participate in a 24 week research study comparing the effectiveness of two diabetic medications. To be eligible, participants must have Type 2 diabetes controlled with diet and exercise. Participants will receive physicals, dietary instruction, blood work, EKG’s, and study medication at no cost. Blood Pressure Study:
The Clinical Research Program is seeking individuals 18 years of age and older who have high blood pressure to participate in a 12 week research study comparing blood pressure control between two groups of FDA approved blood pressure medications. Participants will receive blood draws, EKGs, study medication, physical exams and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring at no cost.
